And what about the hinterland of Riccione?
The Fortress of San Leo is definitely one of the most evocative. Located on a steep rocky outcrop it housed the last years of the Count of Cagliostro. Then there is the ancient town of Verucchio which dates back to before 10th century BC and which witnessed the passage of the Villanovan civilisation, then the Republic of San Marino, the oldest in the world, with its imposing towers of medieval origin. And finally, the Gradara castle which belonged to the Malatesta family, known because they were mentioned by Dante in the V Canto of his Inferno, the stage of Paolo and Francesca’s love.

5 days a week to wake up gently. Our pastry chef is waiting for you next to the swimming pool so that you may enjoy fragrant crepes made on the spot and filled with what you want, a delicious treat for everybody.
And of course, let’s not forget adults. Whether you like Prosecco Doc bubbles or the bittersweet notes of a soft drink, our outdoor aperitif with finger food buffet is exactly what you need when returning from a great day at the beach. There is a happy hour prepared for you three times a week by the pool.
As you know, Romagna is made of good food and the desire to spend time together. That’s why here at the Hotel Novecento we have thought of a special evening, the Thursday Gala dinner, to get to know each other better and to taste this land’s delights, from its tasty hinterland sausages and cheeses to the fresh fish from the Adriatic. All this with a selection of locally produced great full-bodied wines such as the superior Sangiovese aged in barrels and the Pignoletto.
By all accounts, the most magical moment occurs on Sunday evening. Wear something that makes you feel special and a few drops of the perfume you like best. Come to the pool where the Grand Buffet of Fruits and Desserts is waiting for you. The atmosphere is truly extraordinary.
